Biography

I lost the use of my right leg in 1991 to a tumor on L3,4,5, S1, went in wheelchair full time
One of the original Wheelchair BB at the first NPC Wheelchair Championship at West Palm Beach, Florida, 1994
First one from Canada.

I have been recognize at the Olympia Gala with working many years at NPC Amateur & Professional shows. I was award the Steve Stone Award for this. At this time i am living in Australia and trained a man wife team who competed here. She is able -body he is in a wheelchair. I plan on competing again soon.

My mother and father really pushed me after I contacted polio into athletic because they were both athletic people themselves and they wanted me to be just has normal as the able body kids. I grew up on Military bases around the world. The other Kids on the bases learn real fast not ever to tease me lol I was a lot stronger them most of them lol

Q&A'S

I contacted polio at 18 months . I was paralyzed down my left side and walked with a brace until 1991. Than had a tumour on spine witch finally put me in a wheelchair for life

I was a power lifter and than one in the magazine Spokes & Sports Frank Dalto had a add saying they were going to have a Wheelchair BB show in West Palm Beach, Florida. After the first year myself and Frank sat down and worked on changing the weights class's to make it more competitive for everyone

  • What made you want to compete?

I have had a lot of friends into BB

  • How did you go about doing it?

I made contact with IFBB Pro Laura Binetti and ask if she could train me and set me up a diet for the show

  • What motivates you?

Seeing all the new wheelchair guys & girls coming out

  • What suggestions or tips do you have for others?

I find that the training is easy, its the diet people have to focus on mostly
