Legacy

Nick Scott didn’t just compete in Wheelchair Bodybuilding—he built it. Through nearly two decades of relentless leadership, advocacy, and personal investment, he transformed a vision into a worldwide movement. Nick created the pathway that allows wheelchair athletes to earn IFBB Professional League status and compete on bodybuilding’s two most prestigious stages: the Arnold Classic and the Olympia.

Beyond the stage, Nick personally helped fund the growth of the sport by covering sanction fees, prize money, operational expenses, and countless other costs during its formative years. His leadership has created opportunities for generations of athletes with disabilities, leaving a lasting legacy that extends far beyond competition.

A catalyst for personal transformation, Nick Scott inspires audiences with unmatched passion, relentless determination, and an unwavering commitment to his mission. His powerful story and authentic message ignite the mind, body, and spirit, empowering people to overcome adversity, embrace their potential, and achieve more than they ever believed possible.

Professional Speaker

Since 2005, Nick Scott has delivered more than 2,000 keynote presentations across 48 states and 8 countries, establishing himself as an accomplished professional speaker. His message focuses on staying true to yourself, overcoming adversity, and never allowing your differences to define your potential. Nick has inspired audiences ranging from corporations and business organizations to high schools, universities, and nonprofit organizations.

Rather than limiting himself to the fitness industry, Nick has chosen to reach mainstream audiences, allowing his message to impact thousands of people worldwide. Through his speaking career, he also helped fund the growth of Wheelchair Bodybuilding by personally covering sanction fees, contributing prize money, and supporting many of the expenses that helped build the sport into what it is today.

“Success Is Not a Destination; Success Is the Journey!”

As an individual with a physical disability, Nick inspires others to never settle for anything less than their best, proving through his own life that perseverance, determination, and action can overcome even the greatest obstacles.

Professional Ballroom Dancer

Nick Scott is one of the most accomplished pioneers in American Wheelchair Ballroom Dancing. After beginning the sport in 2009, he and his partner, Aubree Marchione, quickly became the No. 1 wheelchair ballroom dance couple in the United States, winning the Atlantic Coast Championship and the Heart of America Championship while remaining undefeated in national competition. Their success earned them an invitation as one of only six couples in the world to perform live for Arnold Schwarzenegger at the Arnold Sports Festival. They also made history as the first couple to represent the United States at the IPC Wheelchair DanceSport World Championships in Hannover, Germany, and later performed for Pope Francis during the World Meeting of Families in Philadelphia.

Nick’s performances have been featured on international stages, television, film, universities, and major sporting events, including An Evening with Dancing with the Stars, the feature film Musical Chairs, the Sundance Channel, USA Dance Nationals, the Philadelphia Festival DanceSport Championships, and the Abilities Expo. Through his groundbreaking career, Nick has helped break barriers, redefine perceptions of disability, and elevate wheelchair ballroom dancing, inspiring audiences around the world and leaving a lasting impact on the sport.

IFBB Professional Wheelchair Bodybuilder

Nick Scott has competed and guest posed at more than 250 bodybuilding events, expos, schools, colleges, universities, businesses, and speaking engagements worldwide since March 2006. His greatest competitive achievement came on March 19, 2011, when he won the Overall Title at the NPC Wheelchair Nationals, earning his IFBB Professional League Pro Card and securing his place among the sport’s elite.

On August 16, 2014, Nick reached another historic milestone by winning the 2014 Dallas Pro in Dallas, Texas. His victory ended the reign of the previously undefeated IFBB Pro Wheelchair Bodybuilder, earning Nick worldwide recognition and establishing him as the No. 1 IFBB Pro Wheelchair Bodybuilder in the World. Today, his legacy extends far beyond competition as one of the most influential figures in the history of Wheelchair Bodybuilding.

Wheelchair Bodybuilding

Nick Scott founded Wheelchair Bodybuilding, Inc. (WCBB) in May 2006 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to creating opportunities for wheelchair and adaptive athletes. His vision was simple but ambitious: to build a pathway where athletes with disabilities could compete on the world’s biggest bodybuilding stages.

After nearly three years of relentless effort, Nick secured approval to host the first IFBB Professional Wheelchair Bodybuilding competition in 2008. He continued making history in 2011 by organizing the inaugural IFBB Pro Wheelchair Championships in Houston, Texas, establishing professional wheelchair bodybuilding on the international stage.

Nick’s leadership helped create a system where wheelchair athletes could earn the prestigious IFBB Professional League Pro Card—the highest achievement in professional bodybuilding. Through his unwavering dedication, he united professional bodybuilding and adaptive sports on one platform, forever changing the sport.

His vision continued to become reality when the IFBB Pro Wheelchair Division was added to the Arnold Classic in 2016 and later to the Olympia Weekend in 2018. Today, wheelchair athletes compete on bodybuilding’s two most prestigious stages because of the foundation Nick helped build, creating opportunities that have inspired athletes around the world.
