Biography

Will Anthony is a Spanish IFBB Professional Wheelchair Bodybuilder from León, Spain. From a young age, he was involved in sports, including track and field and soccer, before developing a passion for bodybuilding.

On October 12, 2020, Will was involved in a serious traffic accident that resulted in a C5 incomplete spinal cord injury and quadriplegia. After spending approximately three weeks in a coma, he began the difficult process of rebuilding his life.

Will returned to training in 2022 and eventually became an IFBB Professional Wheelchair Bodybuilder. Today, he represents Spain while continuing to pursue his recovery and compete at the highest level.

  • What happened? Why are you in a wheelchair, or why do you have a disability?

    On October 12, 2020, I fell asleep while driving home and was involved in a serious accident. I spent approximately three weeks in a coma and sustained a C5 incomplete spinal cord injury, resulting in quadriplegia.

  • Why did you get started?

    I wanted to rebuild my confidence and prove to myself that I could return to the stage. Bodybuilding gave me a goal and became an important part of my recovery.

  • What made you want to compete?

    I have always had a competitive spirit. After my accident, I wanted to challenge myself and prove that I could compete again.

  • How did you go about doing it?

    I focused on my recovery, returned to training, and adapted to my new circumstances. My goal was to become stronger and compete on stage again.

  • What motivates you?

    I am motivated by the opportunity to compete on the world’s greatest bodybuilding stages alongside the best athletes and continue improving myself.

  • What suggestions or tips do you have for others?

    Surround yourself with people who believe in you. Learn from others, stay focused on your goals, and keep moving forward regardless of the challenges you face.
