In the face of adversity, Kevin’s spirit remained unbreakable. Emerging from the crucible of challenges, he discovered a newfound purpose through bodybuilding.     My life took a dramatic turn on December 23, 2004, when I was involved in a motorcycle accident that resulted in extensive injuries to my legs, pelvis, and spine. The accident had a profound impact on me, leading to two years of hospitalization, multiple surgeries, and the realization that I would be in a wheelchair. The injuries sustained during the accident left me with a complex musculoskeletal impairment.

  • Why did you get started?

    Before the accident, I was actively involved in cycling and outdoor sports. However, my life took an unexpected turn, and I found myself in a wheelchair. It was during my rehabilitation journey that I discovered bodybuilding. Despite the challenges, I was determined to regain control of my body and push my physical limits.

  • What made you want to compete?

    After six years of embracing bodybuilding as part of my rehabilitation, I crossed paths with Marcel Chayard, who became my coach and mentor. Marcel saw potential in me and encouraged me to compete. His belief in my capabilities ignited a spark within me, and I realized that I could excel in bodybuilding despite my disability.

  • How did you go about doing it?

    I began my bodybuilding journey at a rehabilitation center, focusing on upper body movements that allowed me to harness my physical capabilities. Under Marcel Chayard's guidance, I refined my training techniques and nutritional practices. His mentorship played a crucial role in shaping my progress and growth in the world of bodybuilding.

    My motivation comes from the journey of pushing myself beyond perceived limitations. The sensation of feeling alive, the connection with my body, and the continuous progress I experience fuel my dedication to bodybuilding. Additionally, the support of Marcel Chayard and the desire to showcase the potential of individuals with disabilities keep me motivated.
