Biography

My name is Kelsey Eisenhour, class of 07.
I was born and raised in the little town of El Reno Oklahoma, where everyone knows everything about you before you do, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I was injured in November of 06, someone else was driving my car and took a turn going a little too fast, my vehicle rolled four times and I was ejected out the passenger window, thrown 40 feet, causing me to break my back and bruise my spine. I now have two rods and eight screws holding everything in place!

Nick introduced me to wheelchair bodybuilding one day over myspace, asked me to do a show with him, and I thought, “hey why not, people will love me”. Its a lot harder than you think, I didn’t care if people wanted to see me or how “strong” they thought I was, I just wanted to go home!

Being on that stage in front of all those people took the most out of me than ANYTHING ever has, but on a lighter note, I would do it all over again. To me it wasn’t about winning it was about proving myself to myself and others around me, in a way, it gave me something to be proud of, something to look forward to.

the road to success is not straight.
there is a curve called failure,
a loop called confusion,
speed bumps called friends,
red lights called enemies,
caution lights called family.
you will have flats called jobs.
but, if you have a spare called determination,
an engine called perseverance,
insurance called faith,
a driver called Jesus,
you will make it to a place called success.

I wouldn’t have been able to make it through this roller coaster called life if I wouldn’t have been held in such strong hands.
I have the strength of God, and the support from my awesome family, the love from my friends, and the fight in myself to make it this far, why not keep going…

So if there is one thing that I leave you with, I want you to know that nothing is impossible, you can only do as much as your mind will let you, so get out of the box, and believe in yourself. Push yourself to prove people wrong, and make yourself known to everyone.
