A lupus flare landed me in the hospital, and what should've been routine care turned into a police encounter that left me with a T8 ASIA C spinal cord injury. I don't dwell on the unjust ;I focus on who I've become since.
I started training to take better care of myself. I eventually started sprint kayaking and competed with team USA. I decided that I love kayaling and outdoor sports for recreation. To me training was more fun than competeing
I made the switch to bodybuilding because I have always loved the sport but felt I could never do it. I loved the artistic side of it all and I love having physical goals. I met a coach that kept pushing me to try it. So here I am.
I want to be a better person every day.
Rest is not a reward, longevity is key. You have to rest to grow and take care of your body.
