Biography

My name is Columbus Kennett I’m 24 years old. I have a rare genetic disorder called Glutoric acidurea and at 12 months old I had a seem alike everyday cold and then it got worse. It eventually got to the point where I started having 12 hours of seizures and I was paralyzed on my right side.

  • What happened? Why are you in the Wheelchair?

    I have a rare genetic disorder called Glutoric acidurea and at 12 months old I had a seem alike everyday cold and then it got worse. It eventually got to the point where I started having 12 hours of seizures and I was paralyzed on my right side.

  • Why did you get started?

    Because I want to do something new. I’m excited to start this new journey and to see where it goes. I enjoy building and gaining muscle. I like the competition aspect as well, I’ve always been a competitor.

  • What made you want to compete?

    Seeing Nick Scott on you tube competing. I was amazed at how big his upper body is.

  • How did you go about doing it?

    I started eating 5+ healthy/clean meals a day. 2 days of cardio. 4 days of lifting.

  • What motivates you?

    When someone tells me I can’t do it. I hate the word Can’t. I love the satisfaction of proving someone wrong. I love competing and competition. That’s what drives me to be the best I can be.

  • What suggestions or tips do you have for others?

    To always stay focused and to never give up on your dreams/goals.
