Q&A'S

  • What happened? Why are you in a Wheelchair?

I crashed racing Supercross inside the Delta Center, in Salk Lake City, utah on New Year’s Day 2003. It couldn’t of tired out any better. It was like a perfect Cinderella movie with a not so happy ending. I made it for myself. Last lap, winning the race, I went heard over landing starlight down on my head breaking my neck, lower back, the kip bone that connects to your hip. I head a head injury and my tongues collapsed. I was happy to make it out a live.

  • Why did you get started?

After my accident I spent two months in an induced coma and a full year in the hospital.

  • What made you want to compete?

I just wanted to get better. I spent a full year in the hospital. I had to learn how to eat, breath, speak and figure out how to put my life together. All of the things we take for granted everyday. I didn’t have a choice. I just knew I wasn’t going to quit

  • How did you go about doing it?

I started making good friends with everyone in the gym from all of the time I spent in there. I made friends with all of the bodybuilder and they all helped me along the way. I worked hard. I would leave the gym prime swearing I would never go back and my friends all made it easier to go back. I owe all the credit to them. You guys know who you are

  • What motivates you?

When people tell me I can’t do something!! That gives me more motivation than anything. I strive to breaking the status quo or the way people view being in a wheelchair. It’s not a sign of weakness. It’s a sign of strength in every sense of the word. Champion sir

  • What suggestions or tips do you have for others?

Dieting is number 1. Without a good diet you can’t get anything done
